The Staurolite Foundation
A staurolite is a stone that grows in the shape of a cross.
We exist to renew strength and brotherhood for wounded military personnel — through meaningful hunting and fishing experiences, and the appreciation they so richly deserve.
Our Mission
The Staurolite Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation, exists to bring the light of the world to individuals and communities through educational, leadership, and recreational activities.
Currently, our projects include outdoor recreational activities for injured military personnel. We provide a variety of hunting trips and fishing trips throughout the year.
What We Do
We foster fellowship, restore purpose, and strengthen lives in service to the Lord for His glory.

From the founder
Strength, brotherhood, and purpose.
We exist to renew strength, brotherhood, and purpose for wounded military personnel. We do this through meaningful hunting and fishing experiences. Our goal is for each participant to receive the appreciation they so richly deserve from regular Americans.
The companionship with the brotherhood happens around the dinner table and at the nightly campfire. The appreciation is recognized when a Vietnam vet who came home fifty years ago hears thank you for the first time.
We are not here to judge. We do not preach. You come as you are and we will take you hunting or fishing to show you that we — regular, every-day Americans — appreciate your service and your sacrifice.
Are you a wounded vet who would benefit from a trip?
We don't require a Purple Heart. We give priority to combat-wounded, then service-related, then service-time injuries. Reach out — we'd love to hear your story.
